And they call her Ridiculous

Tonight, a picture appeared in my head, and I decided to try and draw it. As I was working on the face I wanted this woman to have, I began to see, in my head that this was, in fact, not just a random person, but one of my side characters from The Goblin King and I, Maxine.

Also known as Ridiculous Maxine.

Of course, this is Ridi-Max when she was much, much younger, but the wild eyes, insanely bright smile, and the utter fascination with sparkly magic just struck me as probably why she earned the title of 'Ridiculous'.

I love Maxine - she's eccentric and nutty, but there's more to her than meets the eye. I like to think that as she is here, in her prime, she was quite the scandal among the Fae, because she liked using her magic for fun, relatively pointless things. Like sparkles.
